May need 1 cap fro training; 3-4 for thunder storms.
Once the dog learns that they are ok in a situation, they start to relax on their own and you don't need it as much.

Directions for Use: Administer 1 capsule for each 20 pounds of body weight 1-2 hours before desired effect. Effect may last 6-8 hours. Amount may be doubled as recommended by your veterinarian.
Cautions: Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. If animal’s condition worsens or does not improve, stop product administration and consult your veterinarian. Discontinue use for 2 weeks prior to any surgery as Passion Flower Extract may decrease clotting ability.
Warnings: For animal use only. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. In case of accidental overdose, contact a health professional immediately.
Can safely be used on cats too if you are able to successfully pill them!

Hints for pilling
Use a 1 inch cube Regular Cream Cheese, Liverwurst/Braunshweiger (from deli or hot dog/sausage department in store) or soft real butter to surround pill and hand feed to dog.
For larger dogs and more pills, use a larger cube and put 2-3 pills in each Cream Cheese, Liverwurst or Butter cube and hand feed to dog.

Natural product that works
Two months ago I moved my male dachshund of 15 years and my female dachshund of 11 years of age to a new home. I gave both of them Calm Caps when we were packing and unpacking since changing of environments can be particularly stressful on some animals. They were both content to be in their kennel and rested while the chaos ensued around them as people walked in and out of the house. Typically there would have been whining and barking throughout the process. They have adjusted beautifully to their new home. When my male dachshund was younger, he had separation anxiety and anxiety around the doorbell ringing, other dogs, and people that moved quickly. He was a rescue and high strung. I used Calm Caps to help take the edge off when we traveled outside of our home or expected company due to the aforementioned reasons. Calm Caps always worked well for him. It sometimes made him a little drowsy, which allowed him to rest calmly on the laps of those he trusted. Now that he is older and has significant hearing and vision loss as well as cognitive dysfunction as a result of age, I use them at night to help him settle down when it is my bedtime. It helps reduce the pacing, nesting, and whining routine that he started over the last month at bedtime. The vet called it sundowning. I tried a prescription anxiety medication the vet prescribed and it did not work as effectively as the Calm Caps, so the vet and I took him off the prescription medication and I increased his Calm Caps dosage to 2 at night. I choose Calm Caps over other brands because the pills contain a small number of all natural ingredients and they have effective over other brands I tried that contained numerous ingredients and/or prescription medications.

chewing and showing
This product in conjunction with another natural product stopped my male from chewing the front of his legs. If I take him off either product he starts chewing. I think he is more comfortable and not obsessing. Has helped getting him in the special's ring (front legs have hair)

show and breeding anxiety
this has worked well for both my male when my bitches are in season. helps him to get some rest and eat a little. I also use this for my show dogs or a young unexperienced dog at large shows or indoor shows.
